Frequently asked About Travel Hacks

The questions readers send most often.

How to use this site

Three steps. Nothing clever.

1

Find the post

Search for the specific thing you need ("bali atm fees", "flight booking timing"). Most of what we've written shows up on the homepage too.

2

Skim the steps

Each post is structured so you can read the tip in 30 seconds and the supporting detail only if you need it.

3

Try it on your next trip

If something doesn't work or has changed, email us and we'll fix the post.

OUR MISSION

What Is Travel Hacks?

A photo collage of trip moments — temples, scooters, beaches.

Travel Hacks Travel Hacks is a small site about saving real money on trips. We write up the booking tricks, on-the-ground habits, and small workflows that have actually cut our own trip costs — mostly Bali so far, with flights, hotels, and packing covered too.

We started this because most "travel hacks" posts don't survive contact with reality. The booking trick stops working in three months. The hotel script gets you laughed at. The packing list assumes you've never seen rain. So we only publish what we've actually used on a trip and what still works the last time we checked.

Right now the deepest coverage is Bali — 47 posts on the specifics: which ATMs don't charge, where the warungs are, how to argue your scooter rental down. The rest of the site is the smaller, more universal stuff: flights, hotels, packing, what to do when something goes wrong.
